The School Council chose the new name for the school newspaper towards the end of December 2008. There were a good number of entries, making it hard to choose the winner. In the end they went for an amalgamation of a couple of ideas to get just the right feel. The council was very keen that the new name should have the word 'children' in it. "It's our paper, showing off what we've been doing," they said. So we tried putting 'Children' with other ideas submitted, and 'Children's News and Views' was born. Many thanks for the suggestions for what you would all like to see in the paper. I see it as a development area - changing and growing into a new style of its own. I want to see more of the children's work featuring each time, along with useful information to parents. |
